I am a research associate in the Ocean Dynamics Lab, housed in the Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of British Columbia. My research mostly funded by the Marine Environmental Observation and Response Network (MEOPAR), a Canadian Network Centre of Excellence devoted to studying marine hazards. I am also funded by the Hakai Institute, a research and postgraduate teaching institution which conducts field-based research on the coastal margin of British Columbia.
Broadly speaking my research interests lie in coastal physical oceanography. I have a particular interest in river plumes, radiowave oceanography, and shelf / basin exchange. I have also have an interest in the application of complex network theory to geophysical problems. |
